I have returned from the Eastern Shore.  I had a lot of fun going sailing with the family.  Sometime I’d like to take a trip somewhere rather than just choosing random destinations on the Chesapeake.  I’m thinking maybe Florida.  It would take quite a while (the average speed on a sailboat, assuming there’s wind is about 5-6 knots), but I think it would be a lot of fun charting a course on the maps and seeing all the different places along the way.

Since I know you’re all expecting it, here it is.  Laura is home in 6 days!  I hope I can leave work early, or take off completely to go meet her at the airport in some big dramatic Hollywood-style reunion.  It’s probably not going to happen though, since the lady who hired me is currently on vacation and gets back on Thursday.  That means that she’ll call me on Thursday to tell me when I’m to be working.  Assuming work on Saturday and Sunday (they have lots of overtime at this job) that means Monday would be my third day of work at the most, which isn’t a good day to say “I can’t come in”.  Oh well, I’ll still be able to go down and visit her even if I can’t meet her at the airport.

I have discovered that the real reason we all have jobs is so we don’t die of boredom.  This is the reason that robots will never take over the world: too many people wouldn’t want to give up their jobs.  I have spent the past week sleeping in, sitting around in my pajamas, doodling around on guitar, doodling around on the computer, and wasting time in front of the TV.  I’ve had about all I can take, so I want this job to start ASAP.

Yeah, so in conclusion, I’m not doing anything ever, so call me if you want to hang out 🙂

    screen name = starmekitty
pomegranate = intriguing fruit in which the edible part is around the seeds. you cut it in half, and all of the inside is massive (MASSIVE) amounts of red seeds. so there’s a lot of spitting involved. but after numerous experiences, you learn how to eat it in a classy and non-repulsive manner.

    ’nuff said about that.

This sailing trip- would it involve you and your folks, or you and your close friends and the Captain?  Morgan that is.  And his good friend Joe Vodka.  Because I would be totally down for a sailing adventure- and a Spanish Doubloon to the first man claps eye on the white whale!

Yeah…the trip would have to involve at least my Dad, since it’s his boat and I have no idea how to do a lot of things required to sail it.  But if it ever happens you’re welcome to come along…just remember that my dad has a drink about 3 ties a year.
